Features to Look For in an E-Cruiser

• Battery

The battery power of your electric cruiser bike will determine how far you can go on a single charge and how often the bike needs recharging.
We recommend at least a 36v battery for a cruiser bike. Progear e-bikes use high-quality EverDrive Samsung cells that are safety tested to international standards.

• Motor

How much motor power you have will affect your ability to pick up speed and how much weight you can add on.
A 250w motor is a great option and is the maximum amount of motor power allowed under regulations in most states and territories.

• Display

A good quality display will let you see you speed, trip stats, current power assist and battery charge.
Most cruiser e-bikes will allow you to select the level of motor assist, and a clear, LCD display helps you stay on top of it all.

• Handlebars

For a cruiser bike, it's best to look for swept-back handlebars for the most comfortable arm position and posture.

• Saddle

A relaxed saddle offset creates a more comfortable riding position.
Cruiser e-bikes usually have a wider seat to disperse pressure and reduce strain on your back/torso.

• Frame

A lightweight alloy frame will make the bike easier to manoeuvre while maintaining great durability.
